8.5 Hours" is an intense, controversial drama set in modern Ireland about one day in the lives of four characters who work together in a small software company. During one Monday in Dublin, each of the four characters experiences a devastating series of events which unfold throughout their working day of 9.00 to 5.30, the 8.5 hours of the title. A mixture of drama and outrageous black comedy, this film has picked up several awards on the festival circuit including Best Irish Feature Film at the International Film Festival Ireland in Clonmel and Best Actress Award for lead actress Lynette Callaghan at the Yellow Fever Independent Film Festival in Belfast.
On Wednesday 3rd February Director Brian Lally will be at the Eye Cinema for a special Question & Answer session after the 7.30pm show of his movie.
