Synopsis

Japan, 1965. 15-year-old Norio returns to his family’s countryside home to prepare for his high school entrance exams. Lonely and frustrated, he clashes with his strict father. One day, he encounters another teenager named Hana, who’s part of a family of nomads known as ‘Sanka’. Norio quickly warms to Hana’s family and embraces their lifestyle. But he soon learns tough lessons about the everyday discrimination the Sanka experience.
